Lately, the Abkhaz-Georgian-Ossetian dialogue is such a rare case that it needs to be perceived as an opportunity of starting new processes. Each of such meetings gives us a chance to revise and reassess our conflicts. The fact is even more valuable that the Georgian civil society organization, the Human Rights Center, managed to gain such a level of trust in Ossetian and Abkhaz parties that they agreed to participate in the workshop organized by the organization.

With the Help of HRC, the Court of Appeals found Illegal the Detention of a Civil Activist

As a result of the legal aid provided by HRC, Kutaisi Court of Appeals granted the complaint of a civil activist, Kakhaber Kvekveskiri. The Court of Appeals found illegal the administrative detention imposed on Kakhaber Kvekveskiri by the Zugdidi District Court on November 1, 2021.

Court fined Elene Khoshtaria GEL 2,200

On October 5, Tbilisi City Court held Elene Khoshtaria, the leader of the political party Droa/It’s Time, liable for violating Article 166(1) and Article 173(1) of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Georgia. Pursuant to Article 36 of the same Code, she was fined GEL 2,200 in an administrative penalty.
