Bacho Akhalaia was sentenced to 3, 9 year imprisonment in the Prison Riot Case. Judge Lasha Chkhikvadze decided to impose the same punishment on other accused into the same case Davit Chakua, Revaz Charbadze and Megis Kardava, who are still sought by law enforcement bodies.
