Chief Prosecutor’s Office blames Bacho Akhalaia in the abuse of professional power during the riot in Ortachala Prison # 5. In the moment of the riot, Akhalaia was head of the penitentiary department.

Former head of General Inspection, Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Tengiz Gunava was sentenced to four years imprisonment. Tbilisi City Court found him guilty in three episodes of charges. The convict was detained in the courtroom and transferred to the penitentiary department.
