advisor to the ex-primer of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli in its office.

Closed Trial
Kvareli district court discusses the case of the former director of the public school in Balghojiani village Zurab Tabagari at closed trials. Tabagari is accused of the attempt to have a sexual intercourse with the school-girl and of the abuse of his professional power. The former director does not plead guilty in the accusation on debauched activities. The villagers believe Tabagari is detained for political grounds.

Human Rights Center Appeal Regarding the Case of Political Prisoner Zviad Kharebava
Human Rights Center has studied the criminal case of Zviad Kharebava the former adviser to ex-Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli, and has determined that political motives are behind his arrest. Mr. Kharebava is currently waiting the Supreme Court’s verdict.

Amendments to the Code – Judicial Authority Simplifies Its Procedures
Amendments were introduced to Article 78 of the Civil Procedural Code of Georgia. According to the amendments, if a location of any party is not known or a court summon cannot be delivered, the court is authorized to make a decision to publicly notify the party about the court hearing.

Human Rights Center Condemns Repressions against the Mini-Bus Drivers
The Human Rights Center perceives that the facts of persecution and arrests of mini-bus drivers represent grave violations of civil rights. Particularly alarming is the imprisonment of the drivers during the period of February 25-28 while they were on a hunger strike.
