More than 20 people received summons of the Chamber of Control in Poti. Among them are members of the Republic Party and activists, who distributed Georgian Dream’s newspapers. On March 13, the members of the Republic Party’s Poti office held briefing regarding the issue.
‘Identity’ vs Rustavi 2 and Imedi

Organization Identity protecting the rights of sexual minorities sued Imedi TV and Rustavi2 broadcasting company at the self-regulatory body of the broadcasters for verbal insult of the LGBT group (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender). The Identity filed the complaint on March 9.
Transparency International Georgia – “Government puts Newspapers at Disadvantage”

Transparency International Georgia believes that the Public Registry has put media organizations at disadvantage. A project by the Georgian Public Registry encourages citizens to call or send the details of such private ads to them. The Public Registry then places the advertising free of charge in the daily newspaper 24 Hours and publishes it on the websites http://www.eproperty.ge/ and http://www.elisting.ge/, which are operated by the Public Registry

Journalists of the TV-Company “Maestro” were not allowed to interview the family members of Solomon Kimeridze, who died in the office of Khashuri district police. The men, who patrolled in front of the house, insulted the Maestro’s journalists, tried to seize camera and compelled them to leave the area by force.
