Protest of Metallurgists from Rustavi
Last week, Rustavi based metallurgist factory JSC Georgian Steel was urgent topic for Georgian media. About 200 metallurgists gathered in front of the administrative building of the factory and requested improvement of labor conditions. Their first request was timely distribution of salaries and cancel shifting to eight-hour working regime. Metallurgists also requested new labor contracts with the employer which will clearly prescribe date and form of reimbursement of their holidays.

Irrigation Systems In Shida Kartli Might Be Repaired This Year
Alongside with other Georgian villages bordering with Tskhinvali district, villages in Kaspi district located near Akhalgori district also turned up in the conflict zone after the war in August of 2008. Locals always had social problems but after the war lack of irrigation water and road became top problems for them. Lately, Government of Georgia started to take sharp steps to resolve this problem and locals hope their villages will be supplied with drinking and irrigation water this year.

Environment Is Still Not Adapted for Disabled People
Tbilisi Appeal Court did not satisfy the lawsuit of disabled Koba Nadiradze. He requested adaptation of premises of public institutions and transports for disabled people. Human Rights House and Article 42 of the Constitution protected the rights of Nadiradze. The organizations held press-conference with regard to this issue.

Residents of Upper Tserovani Village Request Registration of Plots
Families living in the upper part of Tserovani village in Mtskheta district have had registration problem of their plots for a long time already. Locals say the plots, which were assigned to them during communist regime, are still state property. They have been trying to register land but in vain. Since 2009 the land has been registered as state pasture though they claim the land have been their properties during centuries.

“We Have Been Looking for Water All These Years” –Problem of Water in Didi Liakhvi Gorge
Main problem of the Georgian villages in the lower part of the Didi Liakhvi Gorge is water supply which was allegedly resolved two years ago. However, only three villages (partly) enjoy the water distribution system that was arranged by EU funding in the Zemo Nikozi village. As for other villages, they still face irrigation water problem. Locals hope soon this problem will be positively resolved.
