Dead Beneficiaries of the Free Canteen

As a result of the internal inspection, Internal Audit and Supervision Service of the Lanchkhuti district administration discovered two dead beneficiaries on the list of Lanchkhuti district free canteen. The administration had to remove them from the list immediately but it did not happen.
Cleaners of Railway Station Waiting for Their Salaries since August

Building of Batumi Railway Station has not been cleaned for several days already. The cleaners have not received their salaries for several months already too and protest it. They do not even have copies of labor contracts with the employer company.
Residents of Collapsed Residential Building in Vaziani Still Wait for Help

On March 11, five-storied residential building partly collapsed in Vaziani military settlement. Nobody was injured but 20 families remained homeless. Ministry of Defense gave them tents and supplied them with food every day.

Competition for Vacant Positions of Public Servants Protested in Guria

Amendments were introduced to the Law on Public Service at the end of June of 2013. It states that competition for the vacant positions of public servants was to be announced in municipalities before January 1, 2014. Many people, including public servants protested the competition in Guria. On November 15, several members of the Georgian Dream prevented the chairman of the municipal board to raise this question at the board session.
Gold Race in Sakadrisi Layer

Strike Finished With Results – Requirements of Railway Workers to Be Implemented

After the negotiation with the Council of Directors at the Georgian Railway the workers stopped strike late at night of November 14. According to the Confederation of Georgian Trade Unions, the negotiations lasted six hours and all requirements of the New Trade Union of Railway Workers were satisfied. The parties even signed a protocol, based on which the railway administration officially took responsibility to satisfy their requests.
