Georgian Dream gives Medea Vasadze several days to make decision

Adjara Supreme Council MP from Georgian Dream Medea Vasadze must within one week decide how to act due to the phone call made to TV-Channel 25 journalist Jaba Ananidze. Majority member Gia Masalkin says that the majority has given Medea Vasadze a choice: she must either apologize or leave the post of the Human Rights Committee. In case if Vasadze will not take any of the decisions proposed, majority will discuss her issue again.
Human Rights Center to Observe 2014 Local Self-Governmental Elections

On May 31st of 2014 Human Rights Center was registered as a local observer organization for the local self-governmental elections of June 15th of 2014 by the decree of Central Election Commission of Georgia.
Pre-Election Protest of Traders in Gori

Traders continued protest in Gori before elections too. Part of them took radical measures and broke into the territory of old market in Guramishvili square. “We will vote for the candidate, who will restore old market,” the traders claimed.
District Governors-to-be in Kakheti Region

Batumi City Hall Warned Political Parties

Supervision service at the Batumi City Hall sent warning letters to the political parties participating in the upcoming local self-governmental elections about their possible fining. Political parties have two days to remove election posters from the prohibited areas in Batumi.
