Eka Jandieri, a resident of Telavi, blames Nino Vakelishvili, director of Telavi Public School # 5, for labor trafficking. Jandieri claims that she has worked at school for one year without any salary. Besides that, deputy director made her to look after her little grandchild and ordered to do various jobs at school.

Prosecutor announced court decision before judge Lia Otarashvili, judge at Gurjaani district court, completely satisfied the solicitation of the prosecutor’s office and 22-year-old Bidzina Sepiashvili, champion of Georgia in boxing and 19-year-old Spartak Saltkhutsishvili, football player, were sentenced to two-month pre-trial detention. Although attorneys requested bail and personal warranty instead of imprisonment of the detainees, representatives of NGOs and journalists were informed by Prosecutor Giorgi Kokiashvili in advance that the court was going to impose two-month imprisonment on young people.
Head of Police Threatens Journalists

Soso Martashvili, the head of Gurjaani Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA), terrorizes Kakheti regional journalists for covering illegal arrest of sportsmen. The police authority warned the journalists unless they stop working on the sportsmen’s case, drugs might be planted not only on them (journalists) but also on their family members.
Population Abandons Mountainous and Border Villages

Residents of the village of Erisimedi in Sighnaghi district has been using river water for drinking for six months already. Several families from Ilto Valley, who were damaged by natural disaster, are still homeless. If the river floods, locals cannot get in touch with district center because in 2005 the landslide destroyed the road. Village of Cheremi in Gurjaani district has not been supplied with electricity for 16 years. Because of extremely damaged road population has been separated from the world quite often. Officials promised to resolve their problems several times; but it mostly happened before elections. Large amounts are spent from local or central budget but because of unbearable conditions the population abandons the villages.
