Tamazashvili’s son-in-law – husband of his daughter is Irakli Gharibashvili, head of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s charity foundation. Along with Tamazashvili’s detention, Irakli Gharibashvili’s father Tariel Gharibashvili was fired.

On October 2, Interim Parliamentary Election was held in Telavi. Total 56 898 voters are registered in the election district. According to the preliminary data of the CEC, candidate of the ruling National Movement and former Telavi district governor Vasil Davitashvili gained 84, 33 % (16 790) of votes. As the lawyer of the convict Archil Kbilashvili states the reason of the heart attack was deprivation of medicines sent to the Frenkel. Former employees of Dusheti district service office of the Georgian United Water-Distribution Company, who protested in front of the Dusheti district administration on September 27, were summoned to the district administration on the same evening. Member of Dusheti municipal council Zurab Otiashvili told them they had breached the law by holding protest demonstration and informing journalists about it.
