Davit Tsikarishvili: “School Should Not Turn Into A Subordinated Agency of the MIA”
Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Internal Affairs announced competition in public schools – “I Love My Police.” The winners were nominated on December 22 and received computers and other prizes. The Ministry of Education and Science adopted the program of the diploma exams for 2010-2011 academic years. This year’s 12th graders will be the first to pass 8 exams for receiving diploma. As the Ministry of Education states, this reform will evaluate the student’s knowledge more fairly and objectively.

Floor Fell Down in the Recently-Renovated School
Public school in the village of Kukhi in Khoni district is one of those which were renovated with the financial support of the state budget. Several days ago, the floor fell down on the second floor during the lesson. Luckily nobody was in the area at that time! After the parquet was removed from the floor, the wooden material was found completely rotten. Specialists say the material was damaged by paving wet parquet on it.
