Residents of four occupied villages in Sachkhere district – Kardzmani, Sinaguri, Tedeleti and Jalabati are registered in the united list of voters at two polling stations. 74 out of 1020 registered voters in Perevi village polling station live in the occupied villages; another 46 voters registered in Jria village PS live in the occupied territory.

On June 15th of 2014 Human Rights Center will observe local self-governmental elections in the Kakheti region in the areas mostly settled by ethnic minorities as well as near conflict areas in Sachkhere municipality, Imereti region. Nestan Londaridze, observer from Human Rights Center, reports that they cannot implement duties properly in the villages of Keshalo, Muganlo, Lambalo and Tulari with ethnic Azerbaijan inhabitants, as commission members intercommunicate only in Azerbaijan language.
2014-06-15Georgian Citizens Living in Occupied Territory Can Freely Participate in Local Elections
Residents of the occupied territory, on the ABL with South Ossetia, can travel to the Georgian controlled territory and participate in the elections without any obstacles. Human Rights Center’s observers reported about it, who monitor ongoing election process in the border-line villages of Perevi, Jria, Tskhomareti, Chala and Speti in Sachkhere district.

Adjara Supreme Council MP from Georgian Dream Medea Vasadze must within one week decide how to act due to the phone call made to TV-Channel 25 journalist Jaba Ananidze. Majority member Gia Masalkin says that the majority has given Medea Vasadze a choice: she must either apologize or leave the post of the Human Rights Committee. In case if Vasadze will not take any of the decisions proposed, majority will discuss her issue again.
