Prosecutor General’s Office Will Start Procedure to Open TV Station “Imedi’

The Georgian Prosecutor General’s Office will implement all necessary procedures to open TV Station “Imedi”.

According to the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General’s Office, based on Nino Burdjanadze’s statement, after corresponding legal procedures are implemented, the Prosecutor General’s Office will mediate to the court to cancel the suspension of the TV Station.

Today, the Interim President of Georgia, Nino Burdjanadze, stated that the political decision to resume the broadcasting of TV Company “Imedi’ was made. She petitioned the Prosecutor General’s Office to discuss canceling the suspension of the TV station. However, the discussions on the topic are still underway and the company still belongs to Badri Patarkatsishvili, the presidential candidate.”
