Some Kutaisi Teachers Strike

Teachers of Kutaisi Public School # 14 went out on strike as they were not provided with  electricity and gas vouchers that were allocated to them within the frameworks of the presidential program. The programe envisaged providing vouchers to teachers and other socially excluded persons.

Lado Pataridze, chief of Kutaisi Educational Resource Center told Medianews that the school has 80 teachers on and about 1,000 pupils enrolled. He said that some teachers had already received the vouchers and others  will get them later. Malkhaz Bukhaidze, principal of the Public School # 14 has already left for Tbilisi to pick up the vouchers.The dispension of the vouchers  among the teachers will be starting as of  tomorrow.


As Lado Pataridze states, teachers took at close look at renewing the tution process  when they found out the the bad news that they had not been provided vouchers. .
