Revaz Shavishvili: Murderers of Giorgi Gamtsemlidze Will Be Punished

May 8, 2008

Revaz Shavishvili, representative of the United Opposition, states that thirty-one-year-old Giorgi Gamtsemildzze will be one of those people who were sacrificed to the unlimited rights granted to the patrol policemen by the Georgian government. “Giorgi Gamtsemilidze was shot in his neck. He is now on the list of people who were killed without any mercy. Policemen murdered young man, father of three children. It will be no surprise if the governmental officials state that he had gun or tried to attack policemen. I promise to the Georgian society and Giorgi Gamtsemlidze’s family that the murder will be investigated and real murderers will be punished as well as murderers of other victims of Saakashvili and Merabishvili, Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs,” said Shavishvili.

Eka Beselia, Teo Tlashadze and Revaz Shavishvili, representatives of the United Opposition, visited the family of the murdered young man.
