Socially Excluded Persons Complain About Kakheti Agency for Social Subsidies

August 4, 2008

Natela Zakashvili, a mother with many children, appealed against the administration of the Kakheti Coordination Center for the Agency of the Social Subsidies.  Zakashvili reported to the Human Rights Center that because of extremely poor social conditions she applied to the agency six months ago for some assistance. However, the family was not awarded with the points yet.

“I have ten children. Our flat blew up on gas and six of my children died as a result. Now I live with my husband, daughter-in-law and a grandchild which is only two months old. None of us are working and we don’t have livestock animals or hens, or any other equipment that could be used to cultivate the land. Although we are very poor the agency did not grant us with any allowance. When I apply to them as what is the situation with my case they do not answer my questions,” said Natela Zakashvili.

The Agency for Social Subsidies denies the complaints of Zakashvili. The agency reported that the family of Zakashvili was duplicated in data base and they could not estimate the rating point for the family. However, Zakashvili has not been informed about the mistake as yet.
