The Inhabitants of Dedoplistskaro district Demand Inspection of Limestone Factory

September 25, 2008

The inhabitants of Samtoelebi, 9 Aprili and Press Streets in Dedoplistkaro District oppose the administration of limestone factory which functions in the same district.

The population states that the factory violates special working norms and therefore, the inhabited territory in the factory vicinity is constantly covered with dust. The locals also informed us that the limestone factory extracts white stone from the ground and therefore makes explosions. As a consequence of this their houses are cracking.

The population demands that the experts from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources visited and inspect the factory. If their demand is not satisfied the locals intend to block Dedoplistskaro-Tbilisi Highway.
