October 28, 2008
Water is leaking in each and every room of Nato Vachnadze’s museum (a famous Georgian actor); exhibits are seriously damaged. In addition, the wooden balcony of the museum is in the poorest conditions, which has started to decay.
Roza Aptsiauri, specialist in chief of the museum, reported to the Radio Hereti that there has not been central heating in the museum for many years already; consequently, the exponents in the museum are in danger.
“As there is no central heating in the museum, the walls are always moist and everything is getting damaged here with mold. Everybody knows that exhibits need to be maintained with a special temperature. However, these rules have not followed in Nato Vachnadze’s museum,” said Aptsiauri.
The chief specialist of the museum also complains about the reduced visitors to the museum.
According to Roza Aptsiauri the number of visitors was reduced by 500 in the last year.
