Sozar Subari Considers Evidenced in accused 16-Year-Old as bogus

Sozar Subari, Georgian Public Defender, became interested in the case materials of a sixteen-year-oldm Davit Manashvili, who is accused of murder.

Subari stated that the evidence in case materials are bogus. Family members of the accused juvenile have secret video-recording which demonstrates how experts compelled the young man to make statements that would suitable for the investigation.

Subari also stated that witnesses were oppressed during the investigation process in order to make them give testimonies in favor of the official investigation.

Gela Nikolaishvili, attorney of the accused, stated that the case is completely fabricated and there is no evidence whatsoever against Davit Minashvili.

The investigation was launched on the murder that occurred on August 3 and 23-year-old Irakli Chakvetadze.

Law enforcers arrested 16-year-old Manashvili as accused for murder who was visiting Surami for holiday. According to the investigation Manashvili committed the murder over jealousy. A 14-year-old girl was interrogated who, as attorney Gela Nikolaishvili said, states that law enforcers had interrogated her for 7 hours without her parents permission and or the benefit of a lawyer. During the interrogation she was oppressed, and under the circumstances, the girl does not know for sure what she actually said in her testimony.
