Human rights in the war-effected areas following the conflict in Georgia

The report was papered by the request of the OSCE chairman-in-office,  (27 November 2008). The OSCE office for the Democratic Institutions and Human Rights assessment of the human rights situation in the war-effected areas  following the August 2008 armed conflict in Georgia found that the number of serious human and minority rights concerns remain  in its aftermath, including in particular the continuous problems of displayed persons, restriction of movement, access to justice, dangers of unexploded ordnance and instance of lawlessness.      detailed...
