Personnel of Gurjaani Polyclinic Have Not Taken Salaries for January 2009 Yet

February 16, 2009
Reportedly, personnel of the outpatient-polyclinic union of Gurjaani district have not taken their salary of January 2009 yet.

Doctors stated the reason for unpaid salaries is transformation of the polyclinics into self-funding for what their revenues have reduced.

Outpatient-polyclinic union employs over 120 people in Gurjaani district. The personnel stated that they had received verbal warning about supposed reductions last week. Sopiko Kumsiashvili, director of the union, denies the information. “We will issue salaries for January 2009 soon. We are not discussing reduction of the personnel at the moment,” said Kumsiashvili.
