Doctors Intend Protest Demonstration

Doctors for Kakheti based policlinics, who have not received their salaries for three months already, intend to hold protest demonstrations.

Doctors stated they are working on organization issues at the moment and if they are not paid their salaries of January, 2009 they will go out in the street in protest.

Initially the information about salary arrears of doctors and other medical personnel was spread in the beginning of March. Zura Gaurashvili, director of Kakheti office of Healthcare Agency, reported to the center that ministry of healthcare is late to transfer the money. Despite many attempts the officials from the ministry does not comment on the issue.
