Human Rights Center Sent Group Appeal To European Court in Strasbourg

April 10, 2009

On April 7 non-governmental organization “Human Rights Center” sent a group appeal to the European Court in Strasbourg. The appeal covers the facts of the violations of the human rights of 76 people during the August war and thereafter. The violations deal mostly with the right to life and also about inhumane and degrading treatment, the right to privacy and personal inviolability and to private property. The registry of the European Court already has registered the appeal and given it an identification number.

The Human Rights Center will continue to investigate the violations discovered during the war in August, 2008 and will provide legal aid to the people victimized.
