Natia Korkotadze, attorney of Giorgi Orniani and Melor Vachnadze-members of the “Youth HQ of the April 9 Movement”, blames the policemen for torturing the detainees.

“Oniani was brought to the police station of the Old Tbilisi and was ordered to say something wrong about the opposition parties. They threatened him with raping; with bringing his girl-friend to the police station and abuse her too in front of him. Oniani has about 50 bumps on his head and bruises on his body,” said Natia Korkotadze and stated that signature of Giorgi Oniani was falsified on the document which stated he had no complaints about the investigation. As for the hooliganism he did not plead guilty.

Melor Vachnadze also has bruises on his body and bumps on the head.

“Vachandze was detained at the police station in Vazha-Pshavela Avenue and he was severely beaten. The corridor of shame was arranged for him too and he was compelled to go through it. friends of the journalist Nika Avaliani were at the police station too; Vachnadze was beaten with truncheons; he did not give a testimony to the investigation,” said Natia Korkotadze.
