3 Adults Were Interviewed for Tearing the Posters away in Zugdidi

On May 14, 3 adults, girls were arrested in Zugdidi for tearing the posters away about the searched people who were charged in participating in Mukhrovani revolt.

Giorgi Gachechiladze stated about it in TV program Sakani (Cell) today evening. According to him, 13-14-year-old girls were arrested for several hours and their houses were surrounded by the police.

According to the correspondent of the Interpressnews in Zugdidi, Ana Tsanava, Nata Esartia and Teona Pipia were interviewed for tearing the posters away for 3 hours at the police station. They tore the posters away, which were about giving money award for the information about the searched people of Mukhrovani revolt. According to the statement of the adults, they did not know what they were tearing away.

According to the information of the girls, after tearing the posters away the strangers came to the main entrance of their houses and said them to get in the car. The children refused to do it because they did not know who they were. However, they turned out to be the policemen and they made the girls get in the car and they took them to the regional police station to interview them. Later, parent of one of the children was taken to the police station and was attending the interview.

After the interview the adults stated that the police threatened them. The policemen asked them if they had any mission from any party when they were tearing these posters away. After a three-hour interview the girls were set free.

The neighbours mentioned, that they noticed 7-8 policemen and people dressed in civilian clothes at the houses of the adults who supposedly were also the policemen. Now the adults are at home. Bagrat Kiria, representative of public defender visited them.
