SOD Arrested Four People in Batumi

In Batumi the Special Operative Department within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia arrested four people -  Avtandil Gadabkhadze, Joni Mikeladze, Kakha Mikeladze and Gocha Berdzenishvili; they actively cooperated with the opposition parties recently. Although they are not members of any political parties, they are close to the National Forum.

The detainees are suspected of using drugs. SOD has set Avtandil Gadabkhadze and Joni Mikleadze free; as for Gocha Berdzenishvili and Kakha Mikleadze, there is no information about them yet.

Kakha Mikledze is a former member of the Supreme Council of the Adjara Autonomous Republic and head of the fraction “National Movement”. He is a close relative of Levan Varshalomidze, head of Adjara Autonomous Republic.

Davit Japaridze attorney of Kakha Mikeladze and Gocha Berdzenishvili stated he was not allowed to meet the detainees so far.
