Missing Female Members of Youth Branch of Burjanadze’s Party Turned Up

June 4, 2009

Missing members of youth branch of the “Democratic Movement for the United Georgia” turned up.

As Nino Burjanadze’s party reported to Interpressnews, Darejan Gujejiani and Tamar Naveriani were found in so called Africa settlement in Tbilisi. According to their information, a taxi driver called at the office of their party and told them that he had found above-mentioned missing people at the end of Africa settlement and he was transporting them.

Representatives of the political party do not speak about physical or psychological oppression on the missing people yet and they do not know why the girls were found in the remote settlement of Tbilisi. The party members applied to the office of Public Defender about this incident. Reportedly, Gujejiani and Naveriani will make testimonies at the Public Defender’s office tomorrow.

“At 5 p.m. I noticed a black Jeep following these girls in the street”, said Marina Salukvadze, the party member at the protest rally today in front of the Parliament Building. She added that Gujejiani and Naveriani managed to call their relatives and asked them for a help. Afterwards, the representatives of the Democratic Movement for the United Georgia were looking for the missing girls in vain.
