Mamuka Areshidze –IDPs Were Used to Disperse Rallies

June 5, 2009
Part of IDPs from Didi and Patara Liakhvi Valleys are used to disperse rallies - head of ‘Freedom House’ Mamuka Areshidze stated at the press conference today.

“These people were used in the so called rallies of tax drivers and incident on Furtseladze Street. We have information about special brigades of IDPs, their place of dislocation and their leadership. Though, I have agreed with a governmental official not to announce details yet”, Mamuka Areshidze stated.

This information was confirmed by Kako Tsotniashvili, head of the organization “August 7, 2008’.

“Such brigade really exists. If earlier they initiated simple quarrels, now they are equipped with knives and sharp things. If situation is not soon solved, unprecedented processes may start”, Tsotniashvili stated at the press conference.

Organization ”August 7 – 2008’ was founded by IDPs from Didi and Patara Liakhvi Valley and Frone Valley.
