Law Enforcers Arrested Nugzar Shengelia for Insulting Levan Tarkhnishvili

Law enforcers arrested Nugzar Shengelia for having insulted and assaulted Levan Tarkhnishvili, chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Georgia.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shengelia was accused under Articles 173 and 166 of the Administrative Code of Georgia. Collegium of Administrative Law within the Tbilisi City Court sentenced him to 30-day-imprisonment.

On June 11, Nugzar Shengelia insulted and assaulted Levan Tarkhnishvili in front of the Rustaveli Theatre in Tbilisi.
