July 14, 2009

A first meeting in frames of incident prevention mechanisms opened in Gali, breakaway Abkhazia, on July 14 with participation of the Georgian and Abkhaz sides, as well as command of the Russian troops on the ground.

The meeting, held with facilitation of EU monitoring mission and UN, was agreed during the sixth round of Geneva talks earlier this month.
