Military expert Irakli Aladashvili spoke about the nonlethal weapon and gave some suggestions to legislators at the session of the fraction “Christian-Democrats” today.

Irakli Aladashvili said that acoustic weapon and FN-303 cannot be considered as nonlethal weapon because they can shoot mixed bullets.

Aladashvili added that both weapon were used on November 7 2007 and on May 6 2009.

The expert said both weapons are considered as slightly lethal and they might be dangerous the life.

As for the reply of the governmental team to Aladashvili’s remark, Pavle Kublashvili, chairperson of the Legal Committee of the Parliament, said there is no definition of nonlethal weapon though he expressed his readiness to start consultations about the issue.

The Christian-Democrats requested to cancel the discussion of the draft-amendments to the Law on Assembly and Manifestation”, Law on Police and Administrative Code because they think initially the Venice Commission shall prepare the conclusion and only after that the discussion can continue.
