Bidzina Baratashvili will be the Head of the Board Directors of TV Company Imedi

Bidzina Baratashvili denies that he was dismissed from his position of the Director-General of Imedi.

“The TV Company Imedi is being reorganized. It will have a new structure after September 1. A board of directors will be established to govern Imedi. I will be the chairperson of the board. Otar Shamatava will be a member of the board. He will be in charge of the production of Georgian serials within the company. A Director of the TV station will be Otar Bubashvili. He will be responsible for the management of the company,” said Bidzina Baratashvili.

Bidzina Baratashvili’s statement was a response to an allegation which was publicized yesterday that Bidzina Baratashvili, an incumbent Director-General of Imedi, and Otar Shamatava were due to be dismissed.
