High Ranking Officials of the MIA Participated in the Raid of Telavi Office of the Conservative Party

Today, at 3:00 pm policemen raided Telavi office of the Conservative Party. The members of the party Giorgi Dalakishvili, Erekle Tsotsanidze, Giorgi Mosiashvili, head of the Telavi office of the Republic Party Gogi Chonishvili, member of the New Rights Archil Jorjadze and head of local non-governmental organization Aleksandre Taliuri are ruthlessly beaten. Equipment and furniture was broken in the office. Mobile phones were seized from the members of opposition parties.

Gela Mtivlishvili, coordinator of the Kakheti office of the Human Rights Center witnessed the incident. He said the officials of the Telavi district police and Telavi department of the Constitutional Security Department participated in the raid. They are Shota Bezhanishvili – head of Telavi district police; Aka Sachishvili -  deputy head of Telavi district police; Gogi Giorgelashvili – head of Telavi department of the CSD; Zura Sachishvili and Zura Kadagishvili – operative officers of the CSD; Beka Rostomashvili – high-ranking official of the police department. Other policemen also participate in the dispersal; however, Gela Mtivlishvili does not know them.

Policemen and members of the National Movement Imeda Kevlishvili and Parna Makashvili kicked out Gela Mtivlishvili from the office of the Conservative Party.

Mtivlishvili said he personally applied to Gia Arsenishvili, chairperson of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament for help but in vain. Arsenishvili left the area when loud screaming was coming from the office of the Conservative Party.

Policemen and activists of the National Movement broke into the office of the Conservative Party after they heard the song of Gia Gachechiladze from the office.
