Irakli Alasania Requests to Take Ambassadors and Journalists in Pankisi Valley

October 19, 2009

Irakli Alasania, leader of the Alliance for Georgia, requests to take representatives of the diplomatic corps and journalists to the Pankisi Valley.

“Russian Federation permanently blames Georgia for the connection with Al Qaeda; it is part of the Russian policy to discredit Georgia in the west. Russian Special Forces prepare for actions and Georgian side shall take urgent measures to prevent it. One of the measures will be to take representatives of the international organizations, diplomatic corps and media sources to the valley; there they will be able to meet the local population. It should be done immediately,” said Irakli Alasania.
