Offenders Investigate Dispersal of the Telavi Office Conservative Party

Telavi district police investigates the dispersal of the Telavi office of the Conservative Party and beating of the members of the opposition parties. Shota Bejanishvili the head of Telavi police and other high-ranking officials participated in the dispersal.
 
“It contradicts the current legislation. Offenders cannot investigate the criminal case. Prosecutor of Kakheti region shall be punished for similar decision,” said Pikria Chikhradze one of the leader of the New Right.

Police officials and representatives of Telavi municipality board attacked the Telavi office of the Conservative Party on 9 September 2009, when ministries of Georgia were representing their reports in Telavi. Policemen and the activists of the National Movement broke into the office because they heard song of Gia Gachechiladze from the office of the opposition party. The dispersal was organized by the heads of Telavi police department and CSD. They are Shota Bejanishvili the head of Telavi police department; Aka Sachishvili - deputy head of Police department; Gogi Giorgelashvili - head of Telavi office of the Constitutional Security Department; Zura Sachishvili and Zura Kadagishvili - officials of the same department and Beka Rostomashvili - high-ranking police official. Members of the Conservative Party George Dalakishvili, Erekle Tsotsanidze and George Mosiashvili were beaten severely. They also beat leader of Telavi office of the Republic Party Gogi Choniashvili, member of the New Rights Archil Jorjadze and the leader of the local non-governmental organization Aleksandre Taliuri. Equipment and furniture was damaged during the dispersal. The mobile-phones of the members of opposition parties were seized and broken.
