Tsotne Gamsakhrudia Was Arrested For Wounding a Citizen

Law enforcement officers detained Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, the son of the late president of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia, last night.

They interrogated the detainee in the Vera district police station. According to the information, Tsotne Gamsakhurdia is suspected for wounding David Bajelidze, who was operated at Respublikuri Hospital.

Doctors from the reception department of the hospital said David Bajeladze was wounded in the stomach.

The incident happened near the Kolkhuri Koshki (family house of the Gamsakhurdias) yesterday. According to the spread information, David Bajelidze is neighbor of the Gamsakhurdias.

Tsotne Gamsakhurdia was serving suspended sentence. According to article 315 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, he is accused in plotting against government and he was sentenced to suspended sentences. He was accused for plotting on November 7, 2007 after the video recordings were spread where he was blamed for his alliance with Russian Federation.
