Public Defender’s Report Is Sent to the Parliament

Public Defender’s report of the first half of 2009 was already sent to the parliament.

The report is about human rights situation during first six months in 2009 in Georgia.

The report offers information and recommendations about the situation in detention settings, protest rallies and manifestations. The report also describes facts of human rights violation. The report covers the period when Sozar Subari was public defender but new Public Defender Giorgi Tughushi started working on the report since the first day he occupied the position.

New Public Defender Giorgi Tughushi will present the report to the parliament.
