Tskhinvali Detains Four Georgian Teens

November 6, 2009

The South Ossetian side detained four Georgian teenagers in Tskhinvali at 11pm on November 4, the breakaway region’s official website reported.

According to the same report, South Ossetian law enforcement officers seized four “hand-grenades and explosives” from the Georgian teenagers.

All the four Georgians are residents of Tirdznisi, a village in the Gori district located roughly five kilometers away from Tskhinvali.

The Georgian Interior Ministry said that four teenagers disappeared from the Gori district at noon on November 4. The Ministry demanded “immediate and unconditional release of teenagers.”
