Tskhinvali Regime Offers Parents of Adults from Tirdznisi to Visit Their Children

Tskhinvali de-facto government offered the parents of adults Levan Khmiadashvili and Viktor Buchukuri from the village of Tirdznisi to see their sons in the prison. De-facto Committee for Information and Printed Media of Tskhinvali reported about it. Relatives of Khmiadashvili and Buchukuri can visit detainees in Tskhinvali detention setting.

Human rights defender of Tskhinvali regime Davit Sanakoev petitioned to representatives of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to offer the parents of detainees to assist them to get to South Ossetia.

According to Sanakoev, relatives of detainees can visit their sons from December 9 to 12. They also discuss whether Georgian human right organizations will be able to visit Khmiadashvili and Buchukuri or not.

“Their safety is guaranteed by the authority of South Ossetia” stated the letter of Sanakoev.

4 adults Giorgi Romelashvili, Aleko Tsabadze, Viktor Buchukuri and Levan Khmiadashvili, residents of the village Tirdznisi were arrested by Ossetian policemen on November 4. Tskhinvali regime accuses them in illegal storage of explosives and illegal crossing of so called border.

Romelashvili and Tsabadze were released on December 2, after human rights commissionaire of Council of Europe took 5 Ossetian detainees to Tskhinvali who were released by Georgian side. According to the statement of Tskhinvali regime, Khmiadashvili and Buchukuri will be released on December 13.
