The New Rights Claim Communist Union Has Returned in Public Schools of Sighnaghi District

December 15, 2009

Head of Sighnaghi district office of the New Rights Malkhaz Khutsishvili stated pupils of the public schools in Sighnaghi district are compelled to join United National Movement.

Khutsishvili said activists of the local office of the National Movement call upon the pupils in public schools to join the youth branch of the ruling party. Instead, they promise children to send them to summer camps and to assist them to participate in various events.

Teachers of Tsnori Public School N 1 also confirmed this information.

“Communist Union has returned in Sighnaghi district public schools,” said representative of the New Rights.

Kakheti region deputy governor Petre Kiknadze denies the information. “I have heard about it for the first time. I do not confirm it, I cannot understand how we can make children join the party,” he said.
