IDPs Request Basic Living Conditions

March 30, 2010

The residents of a nursery school building located on the Nikea Street in Kutaisi joined the number of IDPs who protest against their living conditions.

According to inhabitants, the repaired building which came into exploitation at the end of last December is useless and does not satisfy any kind of basic conditions.

We hardly survived winter without electricity, water and gas supply and with other problems. Despite numerous appeals, the leadership of Imereti office of the Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation does not pay attention to us. They are not interested in our problems”- IDPs say.

According to them, the repaired façade of the building is attractive only at a glance. In fact all repairing works in the building were carried out inefficiently.

Residents of Kharebava and Belorusi Streets in Kutaisi often complain of such problems. The walls of the building in which the IDPs were lodged tumble down because of rain.
