Davit Usupashvili: “Merabishvili’s Interview Is Beyond Politcal, Moral and All Other Norms”

April 8, 2010

Leader of the Republic Party Davit Usupashvili said at least professional liability shall be imposed on Vano Merabishvili for his interview with the newspaper Kommersant.

“When representative of the state and minister of internal affairs speaks about the topics like cooperation with Europe, explosion of Stalin’s statue, offering money to Russian soldiers, etc, and makes similar comments, in a normal state, at least he shall be resigned from the position immediately,” said Usupashvili. He said Merabishvili has abused his power in every direction.

“What Merabishvili said, is beyond all legal, political, moral and other norms,” said Usupashvili and added that the government will not react on this fact “because we do not live in a normal state”.
