Alliance Brought Suit to the Prosecutor’s Office

April 12, 2010

Alliance brought suit to the prosecutor’s office about the artificially added people to the election lists.

Member of the Alliance for Georgia Tina Khidasheli said more than 12 000 people are artificially added to the election lists. It is not simple mistake, it is crime.

“It is attempted to fabricate the lists and of course it is crime. We have more than 3 000 applications where the owners write that strangers were registered in their houses without their permission. The political organizations within the Alliance, their leaders and members of the youth branch of the Alliance walked to the prosecutor’s office to deliver 3 000 applications.

Mamuka Katsitadze from the New Rights said unless every violation is eradicated, among them artificially added voters, the list will be illegal and the elections will be declared unfair.
