Foreign Specialists Studied Recording of Phone Conversation between Arveladze and Tsamalashvili

Foreign specialists studied the authenticity of the phone conversation between the head of the TV-Company Imedi Giorgi Arveladze and his deputy Eka Tsamalashvili. The confidential source reported to the Interpresnews about it.

According to the source, the expertise of the audio-recording was done in a European state. The expertise concluded that the recording is authentic and is not fabrication. It is not reported yet who ordered the expertise.

On March 15, the recording of the phone-conversation was published on one of the most popular internet website forum.ge where head of the Georgian Imedi Production Group Giorgi Arveladze conversed with his deputy Eka Tsamalashvili.

According to the audio-recording, President Mikheil Saakashvili had information about the simulated chronicle; furthermore, he had asked Giorgi Arveladze not to insert the subtitles on the reportage and not to warn people about the simulation at the beginning of the reportage either.

On March 13, TV-Company Imedi released simulated chronicle where the events of June 7, 2010 were represented. According to the simulation, the opposition lost elections and rebelled; Russia took advantage of the complicated situation and completely invaded Georgia. The information about the assassination of the president of Georgia was also spread. According to TV-Imedi, part of the opposition supported Russia in invasion of Georgia.
