Presentation of the “Seaside of Sorrow” in Zugdidi

On May 19, the documentary film by Niko Tsuladze “Seaside of Sorrow” was presented at the Zugdidi office of the Human Rights Center. The film is about Abkhaz muhajirs.

The students and graduates of the law faculty attended the presentation. The monitors of the EUMM also attended the event.

After the presentation, the invited guests started discussion about the problem raised by the film. The guests had chance to have a new glimpse on the century-long problem of ethnic Abkhaz people and share their sorrow.

The goal of the documentary film is to change the relationship between Georgian and Abkhaz people; the goal was somehow achieved because new generation started to think of the ways to get closer to Abkhaz people and forgive each other.

The students wish to see more documentary films about the topic which will assist them to learn and realize more real and possible methods to resolve the problem.

News
