On June 22, a helicopter fell down on the border of the small town of Laituri in the village of Meria in Ozurgeti district. The reason of the accident is not estimated yet. The Human Rights Center was reported that helicopter was poisoning trees to kill the so-called American butterflies in the area.

There was only pilot Soso Arjevanishvili in the helicopter; he survived and his health conditions are stable.
