Georgian and Foreign Human Rights Defenders Will Hold Round Table

Human rights defenders from Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia will hold round table at the hotel Courtyard Marriot in Tbilisi. The representatives of the Georgian non-governmental organization “Article 42 of the Constitution” reported that the topic of the round table is “Strategic Litigation – Tool for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights in the Eastern Partnership Countries.”

The representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, non-governmental organizations “Article 42 of the Constitution,” “Georgian Young Lawyers Association” and “Human Rights Center” will make special speeches about the strategic litigation at the European Court of Human Rights at the meeting.

The human rights defenders from Moldova, Armenia and Azerbaijan will work on the process and features of the strategic litigation in their countries.

The initiator of the meeting is Moldavian non-governmental organization “Promolex” whose partner in Georgia is the Article 42 of the Constitution.

The round table is organized with the support of the Open Society – Georgia and Article 42 of the Constitution.
