Labor Party Blames Government in Artificial Increase of Communication Tariffs

July 13, 2010

The Labor Party of Georgia blames the government in the artificial increase of the communication tariffs and is appealing to the Regulation Commission of Communications.

A leader of the political party, Kakha Dzagania, stated at a press-conference today that with the initiative of the government, and confirmation of the parliament, the amendments will be introduced to the Tax Code. Tariffs for all tele-communications will increase.

Dzagania said their party will not tolerate the extortion of the population and will fight for decreased tariffs.

More precisely, they will appeal to the Regulation Commission of Communications in the near future.

Additionally, the Party will send a special appeal to the World Organization of Subscribers Union regarding the violation of subscribers’ rights and will call upon the corresponding institutions to act.
