Teachers Asking for Permission to Hold a Protest Rally

The teachers dismissed from public schools of Kakheti Region addressed the Telavi Municipality government for the relevant permission to hold a protest rally at the governor’s administration. 200 teachers are going to participate in the protest rally.

As the Telavi municipality governor Vasil Davitashvili stated to the Kakheti Information Center, the requests of teachers have not been filed to the local government yet.

“When we get acquainted with the request, we’ll decide how to respond. What are these people protesting against?! The state does so much for them,” – asked Davitashvili

For the last week, the teachers have been massively dismissed from Kakheti public school. According to Kakheti Information Center, up to now, 20 teachers from Kardenakhi public school, 19 from Bodbe public school, 16 from Anagi public schoo, 12 from Gurjaani public, and 13 from Akhashni public  school have been dismissed.
