The Liberation of Ozurgeti Public Servants Are Followed by Detentions

September 17, 2010
The head of Supervision Service of Ozurgeti Municipality Government, Zaza Goguadze, the head of Ozurgeti Municipality Financial Service Giorgi Chaganava, the head of Project and Measurement Service Kakha Gagua, the deputy governor Lavrnet Qviloria and one more official Giorgi Tavartkiladze resigned.

The governor of Ozurgeti Municipality George Takidze confirmed the resignation of only Goguadze and Tavartkiladze. “Goguadze and Tavartkiladze submitted the resignation request in the chancellery of local government this morning and I satisfied it,” – said the governor.

The resignation of public servants is linked to the arrest of the main specialist of the supervision service of Ozurgeti local government, Mindia Dolidze. The officials of constitutional security department arrested Dolidze on the fact of bribe taking on September 10th. Dolidze extorted 13000 US dollars in exchange for the building license.

According to our source, more high officials will be made to resign in Guria. Presumably, some will be imprisoned.
